“Stop
this, okay. I am alive. I am here, standing next to you, in the middle of this
crowd. I can see these people, this Van, that Ambulance. I can hear you, the
sounds of these people, the siren and you still say I am dead” I scowl.
“Yes, you
can see them, they can’t see you. You can hear them, but they can’t hear you”
he clarifies.
I am
amazed how he manages to give me that kind of explanation. I still deny taking
it.
“Don’t
screw my head further. And back off. Or else I will tell the Police you have
been troubling me” I try to threaten him.
He puts
his arms in pockets, for the first time I see him changing his expression. He
wants me to do this. To try do this. And I have to do this too. To prove I am
right. To prove him wrong. To prove I am not dead. I run to one of the police
officials, who is speaking on his walkie-talkie.
“Sir,
please help me. That man, he is.. he is troubling me”
The
police official looks at the direction of that man I am complaining about but
doesn’t react. He keeps talking on his walkie-talkie. I am losing my patience.
“Sir,
please do something. You are a cop, you need to hear me out”
The
police officer gets in his Jeep and shuts the door. He asks the driver to
follow the Ambulance which has just taken my… my BODY!! I still don’t give up.
I decide to try again. To talk to the crowd of people who are still gossiping
about this situation here.
