Khushi’s POV
“You are his… father?” my voice cracks as I stare at the man claiming to be Devil’s father. “How?” I swallow.
As far as I recall, Devil had killed him.
“How?” he repeats in a mocking tone, holding his laugh. “You think I would let my son handle a real gun when he was hardly 13?”
I am speechless as he continues.
“I am not that idiot. The gun which Arnav shot me from was dummy and he didn’t know that. Though the father in me was shocked seeing his son ready to kill him to avenge his mother’s death but my darker side was proud. That was the first time when Arnav actually picked a weapon and hurt someone. And I don’t need to tell you what happened after that. He fled, of course he had to, and then returned back to rule his kingdom.. the one I had vacant for him. He’s outdid me in every terms. I am so proud.. So damn proud of my Devil.”
I see that. He is proud of Arnav because he thinks Arnav is a dark man like him, with a dark soul but he is wrong. My husband is anything but him. And soon, his father would see that too. Though I am still listening to this man, I don’t stop my struggles to untangle the rope tied to my arms. It has loosened. Finally!! Just a few more struggles and I’ll be freed. But I can’t fight these strong men around. I need to think of some other way to tackle the situation and I hope I succeed.
Note: I will post the full update tomorrow.

FORBIDDEN - eBook Released
Standalone Enemies to Lovers Romance Novel
Jhanvi Sikand
I was supposed to marry my childhood friend, Mohit Raichand. Call it fate or destiny, I tied the knot with the Forbidden Heir of the Raichand family – Aarav Raichand, instead. I knew nothing about him except that he used me as a pawn to start a war to snatch from the Raichands what was legally his.
Aarav Raichand
Despite being the firstborn in the Raichand family, they forbade me from the rights and tags I should legally own. My father was secretly married to my mother, his middle-class lady love. Yet my egoistic grandmother got him re-married to another woman from her rich circle. She considers their offspring, Mohit Raichand, as the true heir of the family now. I would have ignored it all had her actions not taken my mother’s life. I pledged on my mother’s grave to crush the ego of my grandmother and snatch what is rightfully mine, including the woman she was getting Mohit married to.
