Arnav’s POV
“That’s because I am seeing profits if we go ahead with this deal and I am not going to let it go only because you are insecure, Khushi,” I snap.
I don’t mean to shout at her, at least not in front of Dad, but Khushi too has shown her disbelief in my confidence on this deal and I know why.
“I’m insecure?” she repeats, her gaze boring into mine.
I look away.
“Care to explain about that ASR?” she adds and fury drips from her tone.
ASR?? She called me ASR and not Arnav which means she’s hell angry on me.
“It’s okay. We don’t need to bring that topic here,” I declare.

“You already have.. And I need to know what exactly do you think I am insecure about??”
“Khushi.. Arnav..” Dad tries to intervene. “I understand your opinions differ this time but c’mon… if my son and CEO of the company fights over a deal, how are we ever going to do business?”
“I am not fighting, Dad. I’m confident this deal will work wonders.” I put forth my point.
“And I think this is a trap. The Ghosh cannot propose something so interesting because their terms seem too good to be true.”
That’s it. I bang my fist on the table.
“For once, start showing some trust on people Khushi. Not everyone is out there to outdo you. And business is all about taking risks. We’ll be careful and I am not saying agree to all their terms.”
“Don’t show me that attitude ASR and please remember you are talking to your senior.”
Really? Okay.. Well.. I agree she is my senior in this company but she doesn't have to remind me that.
“Alright” Dad gets up. “Let’s end this discussion here. We will think about this deal tomorrow. Let’s give each one of us some break to think about it. The meeting is adjourned. Get out of my cabin you two.. and please have some cold coffee or iced tea. You both need to cool down.”
Though Dad jokes the last bit, Khushi doesn't smile. She gets up formally with her laptop in hand to leave. She’s still in that dark black tight skirt I have imagined to put my hands on some day if she lets me. Khushi Gupta is a walking desire of every man in her formals and this is the first time I am both hot and annoyed on her at the same instance. If we hadn’t had this debate over the deal, by now she would have been on my lap, letting me kiss her senselessly.
Note: Will post this part on Monday early.

The Forbidden Series - Book 2 (Enemies to Lovers Romance Novel)
Khushi Thakur
Have compassion for your family and be heartless towards your enemies. This has been my only slogan since I became the backbone of the RS Group of Companies where I am in charge of dealing with their tricky competitors. This time our focus is on the AR Group, which has rattled to its core ever since its CEO, Aarav Raichand allegedly stepped down from his position. Whatever they say, I'm still certain he's a tornado disguised as my business rival. There’s something about this man that I loathe and something that draws me insanely towards him. This unseen magnetism between us coaxes me to believe Aarav is that missing piece of my life’s puzzle, which I had given up solving.
Aarav Raichand
Two years ago, my world crashed down forever when I lost my wife, Jhanvi Raichand. But then I saw her again, this time in my rival’s arms. Everyone said she only had a similar face. I believed that too. She wasn’t my Jaan. She was not the one who transformed me from a vengeful man to a loving husband. But I was drawn to her like a moth to fire. Could she be my Jaan and didn’t want to recognize me anymore? If I could avenge my family to bring justice to my life earlier, I would burn down the world this time to get this woman in my arms again. The only difference is that this time there will be no rules. It’s about time I remind them what it meant to meddle with the love of a big bad wolf!!
The world had seen my Revenge; now they would witness my Rivalry.

Nice Precap. Arshi fought and Arnav is thinking to get romantic with Khushi. Hate it when Arshi fight and hope they patch up soon also. Khushi is very angry Arnav has to do something.
ReplyDeleteFinally, it is good when they fight and patch up for sometime.
ReplyDeleteAlways being romantic is not good😶
Interesting precap
ReplyDeletePlease please give a long update..
ReplyDeleteRight now toh she won't even let you close to her
ReplyDeleteMan, this guy really want to laid her down 😹😹😹
ReplyDeletehehhehehe absolutely...
DeleteI really hope Khushi is right about Ghosh this time. Why does man thinks if girls raise a question about something, it had be about her insecurity.
ReplyDeleteWhy not Arnav trusts Khushi's astitutes of business? Khushi is a professional. Just because she has a doubt, it doesn't have to be about her insecurities against Mitali Ghosh!
And that was a low blow, what Arbav said to Khushi. Not only he said Khushi has insecurities doudting her professionalism, she also used Khushi's insecurities about herself by saying, she always thinks others are out there to outdo her!
Khushi shouldn't let go of this.
And want Arnav to realize Khushi is very different when it comes to her professional and personal life.
Argh!! Very annoyed on Arnav!
Well said.
DeleteAnd ahhh a person who had reach to CEO's place by merit and hard work, is a girl and had been on her own all these while would be insecure.... that too with an amateur.... Such a wise man.
Agreed with each and every word that u have said.
DeleteTrouble in paradise for Arnav and Khushi? Wonder if Khushi will go easy on Arnav after what he did, especially in front of his father - Khushi's boss? Can't wait to read and see what happens.
ReplyDeleteWhere is the update ☺️ ?!
ReplyDeleteWaiting for the full update pleeeeease!!!!!
