“Stand still,” Arnav mutters glaring in my eyes, as if this is all my fault.
Yes, I chose to wear the Mangalsutra tonight on this stupid designer saree but it was only because I wanted to look like Arnav Singh Raizada’s wife. I want to show every woman out there in the party that he is taken. It doesn't matter if he hates me and vice versa, I want all those women to know they don’t stand a chance to eye on him anymore.
Arnav’s fingers stroke the skin of my neck in the attempt to unhook the mangalsutra from his shirt. It’s a very odd situation for both of us. We just happened to bump into each other at the stairs and this chain got stuck to his white Shirt, pushing us together so close that I can literally hear his heartbeats.
“That’s my neck.. your nails.. oucchh..” I scream when his nail scrape the skin of my neck. Arnav immediately pulls back his fingers and looks at me.
“You try then..”
“I tried..” I shout back. “That’s why I asked your help.”
Arnav steps back but since my marital chain is stuck to his shirt, I am pulled to him again and this time I bump with a larger force. He curls his arms around my waist in an attempt to stop us from stumbling. His large hands on the exposed skin of my waist brings goosebumps to my body. He swallows when I meet his gaze again, as if he is trying to curb every reaction his body is giving by our closeness.
“Suman..” Arnav shouts breaking our moment. He is so good at hiding his feelings. But does he still have any feelings for me?
Note: Give me one more day friends. Little busy today and tomorrow. Will post this update on Wednesday.
