Friends,
I just read the comments on my last night's post "No Updates Today" and though I hate to say this, I am not going to take things lightly from here on.
I agree:
1. I am irregular in posting daily updates. It's been a decade that I am posting stories on IF/Facebook and then this Blog. My life has changed. My family has changed. My responsibilities have changed. My work priorities have changed. The writer I was in 2011 who used to post 3 different updates of three stories in a day, is now struggling to post one single update of her fiction daily. Please don't expect that the time/space/freedom I had then is the same now.
2. I update the stories here late night - The entire day I have my other commitments to take care of like my family and my book writing priorities which is currently my only source of income now. Even though this blog is FREE, I am not leaving this space of mine and stopping my fictions here.
I don't like to say it but now these harsh comments are ruining my mind and affecting my productivity in writing, which I will not tolerate. I know how I am juggling my life to keep all my responsibilities at their respective levels. I am a human. Me and my family also have emergencies and issues which I cannot even post here. But whenever possible I make sure to leave a note so that my readers don't keep waiting.
Regarding the time of update. If you cannot read the updates at late night which I highly recommend you not to, you can always read it the next morning. Currently, for no idea how long I will be posting the updates at odd midnight hours only.
I have 3 ongoing FFs here at the moment. After I end one of my FF here.. I am not going to start any new FF and will make sure that at a point only 2 FFs are ongoing and not more than that henceforth.
Now coming to the Harsh/negative/abusive comments. This is my final warning. Next time onwards I am going to individually block people who abuse me or my readers here on the blog so that they will not be able to read my blog ever again. Take this warning seriously.
Like or Hate my stories. Like or Hate the timings I am posting. Like or Hate my irregularity. But this is the best that I can do for this Blog at the moment. I don't want to stop writing on ARSHI and no one can compare my affection and love towards these two characters. If you feel you are wasting time here, kindly leave my blog and never come back here to even check. I will be more than happy. I am doing this for my passion. I don't mind less views/ less likes/ less comments. I want people who love to read my work, to be happy even if they can't like or comment on my work.

Yes I saw the comments and I am really sad that people can be this harsh. You have given us so many wonderful stories. Please don't get disheartened by these people. They only spread hate. Please continue with your stories and trust me your loyal readers will stay with you😍😍. I am happy that you give a post on this. It was really needed. Hopefully now they will stop being judgemental.

ReplyDelete….and if they disagree, they should be able to post their point of view but IT HAS TO BE ABSOLUTELY POLITE and in the spirit of the story, not nasty and belligerent.
There have been times that I haven't agreed with something, voiced it and you have been very gracious about it, God bless.
No one has the right to be nasty or harrangue you for updates or be critical about times you post! Especially since you have been keeping Arshi alive for so many of us. I still come back and re-read your completed stories time and again. They have brought so much joy to so many people.
Not to mention the sheer creativity that you display constantly coming up with engaging plots.
Wish you good luck with your commercial writing commitments, they must come first…
Post when you have the time and when you can. Loyal readers will always wait to read the next exciting episode in Arnav and Khushi’s lives!

I had been following ur stories from FB and ur stories were the first ff i have ever read... believe me it was my only companion...ur stories were my frnds and stress Busters...I used to wait for your updates and never missed a story...it's okay to update late or break the commitment u hv given regarding stories... everyone has their own responsibilities and issues to look through..I am grateful that you are giving us such good stories despite ur other commitments...Ignore what others say.....it doesn't matter as long as there are others who love to read ur stories..

There are so many writers, including me, who cannot update for weeks and sometimes months because of personal commitments. People who are giving negative comments and have problems with ur stories and timings simply can leave the blog and never come back. U r not doing any favour on the author and the author is also not liable to provide update on ur convenience. Ur not paying her and she has her own life.

I don't comment regularly but I want to say something to you madhu, so many celebrities who are actually clean in their personal couldn't stop the toxic people hate, your are actually becoming a better writer day by day, you need to handle this negativity and should not let it affect you, don't think twice before blocking people who are using vulgar language

I admit that im one of the people to show my disappointment on you but i swear i wasn't abusive. I just wanted to request you to have a schedule and lesson your work. Its a very good decision to have complete your ongoing ffs than start new. Im telling you this would make things great again and fix everything in place. Its amazing that you read comments and take a note of them too but plz don't take them on your heart and let them effect you in wrong ways. I wish you the best and hopes for everything to settle.

ReplyDeleteI was in school when I started reading ffs, from then my schedules and life had seen various phases and in the pandemic and even after it, it was hard to complete the essential chores on time, the pandemic imposed a lot of mental stress and physical wear out which still continues, on days when I get really feel stressed and over worked I look upto your stories for a momentary break, so sometimes it is disheartening to not find a update feels like the universe is not wanting for me to have 5/10 min of serotonin boost, but at the same time this also reminds that how u have been so passionate of a hobby to continue it till date with some obstructions ofcourse but the will to write and let others have some good time with ur stories really makes me admire you, So yes I have asked for regular updates(selfish human I am) but never at the cost of yoir personal life, after all u can only spread joy when u r at peace, do take ur time it is ur blog ur stories do justice to them because more then us they are ur babies amd ur love for them will always be greater, sending u love and peace, ignore the hate and focus on good vibes only❤️

I love your fan fictions on Arshi I’ve been your reader from 2017. Our priorities matter , our life matters and you are an extremely superb writer . I’m in love with all time stories . I also don’t understand the point of people coming here and commenting bad reviews when they should mind there own. Please di do what your mind and heart says and you will always be my favorite writer. Your devotion to us and giving us a little time from your life is more then enough . Time is precious and people should value your time and care for us . "Writer" take your time & update whenever you can & get time,I will say you also stop worrying about leaving note cause I understand as your reader,as a human beings, you can also be very well busy with your daily schudle. ReplyDeleteI was an ardent fans for your writing and there was a time when I couldn't go by a single day without your stories. If not the new ones I used to read the old ones. But nowadays I heardly get any times to visit the blogs because of how busy I have become. So, if as a reader I can change and my priorities have changed, so why not as a writer you could be changed.
Its absurd, how people can take you for granted. If any case you are not busy even, updating or not, its completely your freedom of choice. Why would anyone behave as such that they have some kind of hold on you.
