Arnav’s POV
I collapse on the floor, feeling my heart beating achingly slow. I’m aware Chandrika is still chanting the mantras to get me in control. I can feel that I’m no more the blue-eyed version of mine, hypnotized by the black spell casted by her. I can’t lose my sight from NK’s phone which is over the top of the table some distance away, where I see Khushi’s lifeless body falling on the ground, with blood oozing out of her wrist. She sacrificed. Her life.. for me.. For her love. That one thought is enough for me to feel out of control. I look at the dark sky above and scream aloud. Harsh winds blow in the area, blurring the visibility. I shout… shout and shout until I decide what I have to do. The lunar eclipse has begun and even if Khushi’s sacrifice might have ended the black spell, I wouldn’t let the woman who is responsible for her death, live anymore. My brothers Akash and NK are lying on the floor, injured by me. Chandrika and her thirst for unnecessary revenge from my family has crossed every limit. This ends today, I promise myself. Rising from the floor, I march towards Chandrika who is deathly scared seeing me coming for her but she doesn't stop chanting. I kick off the wood burning on the floor along with the other items she was throwing in the fire casting the spell on me to control my body. She still thinks she has a chance to control my mind and body? Huh! I destroy everything that Chandrika had so far accumulated in this room to control me. It's like my body is acting on its own. I don’t know if the spell is making me do this or the angst in me that Chandrika killed my wife. Once I destroy everything else, I turn to Chandrika again. I’m not raised to hurt or kill anyone and definitely not a woman, but Chandrika is an exception for me tonight. Though she is too old to fight me physically, I pull her up and pin her to the pillar behind, holding a knife in my hand to take her life. She keeps continuing her chanting of dark mantras which has begun to annoy me now. So I shut her mouth with my palm and lean over her ears to whisper.
“Hell awaits you Chandrika. Good bye.”
And just when I am about to pierce the dagger in her stomach, I sense something and duck myself down only to hear Chandrika scream in pain and fall on the ground, dead.
“Maa” Mohan cries holding the bloodied dagger in his hand. He was probably going to kill me when I was about to hurt his mother. But when I ducked down, he killed his own mother instead. Probably that’s what Devi Maiyaa wanted. Chandrika’s own son to kill her and thus.. it ends here. Shyam barges inside with the police force and immediately arrest Mohan, whilst calling for ambulances to get NK, Akash and me some medical help. I turn to the phone on the table whose battery is dead and the video call got disconnected. Khushi??? I shut my eyes, kneeling back on the floor, cold and in grief. But my heart is still beating.. and it means my wife is alive too. She can’t die. I know she can’t!!

ReplyDeleteJust imagining for a while what if khushi actually dies!!!! WHAT IF. I mean it would have happen if it was a reality or a tv show which will lead to either leap or punar janam. I want my arshi to be together and happy but jist for some spice and more thrill im imagining what would happen if khushi dies. It will be very different and new to read from all those previous times arshi are always rescued on time or are save without much harm. So if this time if situation actually turns a bit critical and serious it would be very new and intriguing to how you(the writer) will shape the story, characters and relationship ahead. Don't through tomatoes on me ;)> but just a curious and creative mind.

DeleteI know dear writer. None of us can or wants to see arshi without each other. By my above idea i didn't mean for forever separation. Im not a writer so i can't go beyond the box to prepare the whole senerios and make the impossible possible like you writers. This just strike my mind that what if arshi seriously got separated for a WHILE and after some time or years they will be reunited. Reunited and how! This is what your work is, this is what only you can make it possible. My brain horses can't run after this:)> It would be your sort of challenge to for the first time write something like this. But i also know and understand how difficult it would be to first write something like this and than bear the readers sentiments who never wanted arshi to separate, like never, no matter what. So may be if not dead than coma sort of thing! Im saying all this coz you have hyped the whole situation very thrilling and emotional. And made khushi do some drastic thing and slitting wrists aren't normal and taken lightly. There are heavy consequences involves also the title "sacrifice" also isn't light. The sacrifice should be a Sacrifice. BUT, no compulsion dear. Its all about you. The story had been awesome so far and will be going to be more awesome too. There is no doubt.

ReplyDeleteBut you shouldn't complain as according to some loyal and lovely readers of the writer the writer is doing FAVOR on us by writing stories so we should only worship the writer not show displeasure.
DeleteI didn't writing and reading was a 1 way thing. I thought it was 2 way, even thing. Like there are readers because there are writers to write for them and same way there are writers because there are readers to read for them. No writer in the world would write and upload their works online for no expectations to be read by people and get appreciated in return. They post and bring their works online because they want the reward and return of their efforts and craft by the readers. Otherwise all of their writings would be a part of their personal journal. Its a win win and even situation just like demand and supply. If there is demand than there is supply. If there is supply than there is demand. If demand is stop than the supply would stop too and if the supply is stopped so would the demand at the end.
My intentions isn't to hurt anybody or point out but just wanted to clarify and request those loyal readers to stop regarding us as freeloaders and vagrant people just because we don't sweet talk and do buttering like them and ask for more updates. Its just some time pass entertainment which shouldn't include question on anyone's dignity. Everyone have a freedom of speech not just you guys to preach others. I don't have any problem with madhu as she never used such degrading words for her readers neither had offended anyone even when she had and have every right to do it. She had always addressed them with respect and appreciate their concerns. She is the one incharge of here not You guys so stop wasting your precious words on us ungrateful readers.

DeleteFew months ago I could see user comments and reviews on the story updates where some of the comments would give hints on the future updates and reader's opinions but nowadays most of the comments are based on the irregularity of updates.
