Such decisions are to be taken as a family. I AM YOUR FAMILY and we will decide it together. I know you want to sort NK and Lavanya’s problems, but that doesn’t mean you have to walk out of your own house”

“Didn’t you see? She hates me”

“Did she tell you that? Did she use that exact word?

Khushi was blank. Arnav calmed himself because whatever he was going to explain her now, needed him to focus.

“Khushi, we often misjudge people and their intentions. Yes, Lavanya is disturbed but she doesn’t hate you. She knows how much you mean to me and to NK. She can never hate you.”

A thought flashed in her head. He was probably right. 

“Communicate to people Khushi. Don’t presume, don’t let their actions speak but their words. Don’t impose your decisions on others, prove it to them why they should accept your choices. I know sharing your feelings, your pain to someone has always been difficult to you. It took you a lot of effort to open up to me but that’s not enough. Nani, Lavanya and NK also deserve to hear what you feel about them. None of them hates you Khushi. It’s just in your mind”

“Damn” she groaned, fisting her fingers. “I seriously need a counselor”

Arnav watched her in disbelief.

“What am I here for?” he asked.

Kabier was silent for a moment. 

“You think there is someone out there who fits in this role? Who will not mind if I work late nights, if I don’t step home for weeks? If I don’t take her abroad with me for business trips?” 

“Why not? You must have met so many girls till now, Kabier. Think deeply and pick the right one who fits in this needful category. No one will ever deny your proposal” 

Kabier rolled his eyes and took another sip of his drink. He knew any rich girl won’t fit in that role. If she already has money, why will she give him the liberty of sidelining her always and yet be dutiful towards him? And he hardly ever met an average class woman. 

“Close your eyes and recall all the women you have met so far.. you will find her” 

“Are you serious?” Kabier asked. 

“Trust me” 

Kabier knew he was wasting his time, but he did as told. He closed his eyes and after a quick browsing in his subconscious mind; he saw her.. Miss India Aashi Sinha. Everything in her was feisty. But she was the perfect wife to flaunt. She was a model and had won the Miss India title. There were people out there who respected her work, men who craved for her attention. And if she marries him, his parents will be more than proud of his choice. But would a woman like her agree to marry him without burdening him to fulfil all the marriage vows and promises? She must have some weakness. He decided to find out. He was a businessman. If he couldn’t manipulate her weakness, who else would? And once she agrees, he will make his expectations clear. She will have no rights to poke in his schedules. He loved his work and that would always be his priority. 

“I think you found one” Nikhil teased. 

Kabier didn’t reply. But his expressions conveyed it.
