Amazon Kindle Unlimited Subscription

Hello Friends, 

A lot of you wanted to know how to read my books on Amazon Kindle or Amazon Website. Here is the answer: 

1. Download Kindle App from Google Playstore of your smartphone.

2. Sign up / Sign in to Amazon website (based on your country) and ensure that you use the same login details to access  Kindle App.

3. Search the book you want to read on Amazon Kindle. Once that displays, there are two options:

A) Buy Now  - You can buy the book at the Kindle price mentioned. This book will permanently be purchased by you and you can read it your whole life time, whenever and wherever you want.

B) Read for Free - This requires you to enroll in Kindle Unlimited program which is 199 per month (or 169 if you subscribe for auto renewal). You can download and read any number of books through Amazon using this program. You do not have to pay for individual books to read. After the one month membership is expired, the books will be automatically deleted from your Kindle App unless you continue the subscription further.

4. Once you choose one of the two options mentioned above, your book will be automatically sent to your Kindle app. Open the kindle app. The homepage of the app will show you the book and ask you to download it to read. Click on Download which usually takes a few seconds depending on the size of the book and the internet connection. Once downloaded you can start reading your book.

Alternative

If you do not wish to download Kindle App or want to read the stories directly on Laptop / Computer, then follow the Steps 2 and 3. Once the book is purchased, click on your Amazon account name at the top right of your page. Then click "Manage your content and device" You will find all the books purchased here. Click on the three dots at the left of the desired book and then click "Read Now"

You will be taken to a new page termed as Cloud reader and the desired book will open to read.

Suggestion

For Frequent readers - Kindle Unlimited program is beneficial. Sometimes they even give first month free and from the next month onwards you are charged 169 INR every month if you subscribe.

For Selective readers - Buy the ebooks directly if you are not interested in the monthly subscription of Kindle Unlimited program or want to read only a few books whose sum of the kindle price is not more than the Kindle Unlimited program (169 INR)


Note

You can  cancel the Kindle Unlimited subscription any time from Amazon and you will not be charged. Take in the benefits of reading uncountable books during that period.
