My New Boss - Season 3 - Part 51

Chapter 51

Khushi’s POV

“Arnav Singh Raizada..” Manohar Jha shouts. “So you chose your side, then? You were playing with us all this while and you never had intentions to leave Khushi or take her down from the CEO role?”

“That’s right, Mr Jha,” Arnav clenches his jaw. “But hold on. Before you threaten us to expose Khushi, we have a small surprise for you as well.”

And saying that, Arnav picks a remote of the plasma TV behind us and turns it On. I wonder what he has planned to save me against all the allegations which Manohar Jha wants to put on me for being responsible for my parent’s accident but the confidence on Arnav’s face tells me, he has got it sorted.

The Plasma TV displays a video which is probably a footage of some CCTV camera. But I know that road where its facing. It’s the same place where the accident occurred. I turn to Arnav and he quickly grips my arm.

“You have to be strong to witness this, Khushi, which I know you are.”

His words give me the strength I need. Arnav presses the play button and the video starts playing. I realize this is the CCTV footage of the same night when the accident happened. When did Arnav find it? This never crossed my mind because I was too pained to even think about that night. I see our car, coming speedily on that road and just when its near, a huge truck, the same one which had hit it, and which had been stationary at the corner of the road, suddenly starts the engine and speedily aims towards our car. Oh my god! I can’t see this. Tears gush in my eyes as I see the car which Dad was driving with me and mom alongside collides with the speedy truck and everything ends.

Arnav instantly takes me in his arms. I am shivering which I didn’t realize until the video ended.

“Khushi, you okay?” Arnav caringly asks and I nod my head though the shivering doesn't stop. Aarti aunty and uncle rushes to my side and aunty soon starts rubbing my arms to soothe me.

“What is all this?” Manohar Jha scowls.

Arnav leaves me in the care of his parents to respond to Manohar Jha. The guests and the media are already confused as they have no head or tail of this matter.

“Relax Mr. Jha. I am coming to it,” Arnav stares at the audience. “The video you all just saw was an accident which happened six years ago with Khushi’s family. Her parents were in that white car and they died on the spot.”

The crowd gasps and the media immediately starts taking videos and pictures of us.

“Good, Arnav. Very good.” Manohar Jha claps smiling at us. “You literally made my work easy by finally opening up about this accident.”

He comes on the stage and turns to the media.

“Everyone needs to know how it happened. The CEO of your company, Khushi gupta is responsible to kill her parents. She was the one who kept asking her father to cross the speed limit.”

“Oh yeah?” Arnav interrupts him. “And how do you know this?”

“I know this because I called him just few minutes before this accident. Khushi’s father was my dear friend and it was his wife’s birthday that night so I had called him to wish his wife. That’s when I heard Khushi’s voice asking her father to increase the speed. She is the one responsible for killing her parents.”

The moment he says this, I shove away Aunty’s hold on my arm and striding towards him, I smack Manohar Jha’s face. The media keeps clicking the pictures but I don’t care anymore.

“I didn’t kill my parents and you are lying, Mr. Jha. That night you didn’t call up to wish my mother but to check with my father on our exact location details. This accident happened minutes after your call which makes me highly suspicious you have some hand in it.”

“What rubbish?” Manohar Jha shouts. “This is a lie. Why will I even do this?”

“To save your position in your political party,” Arnav continues. “You wanted to end Shashi Gupta because he knew some secrets of you misusing your powers and he had also warned you not to do that. He had proofs of your crimes, Mr. Jha and the way you have tortured and killed people only to stay at the position you are.”

I am shocked. What is Arnav telling? And how does he know all this? Arnav turns to the media again picking a pen drive which Aman quickly hands him over.

“These are the list of the crimes Manohar Jha has done which Shashi Gupta had kept a track of. Manohar Jha tried his best to convince Khushi’s father not to share it with anyone else but when all his attempts went in vain, he decided to end Shashi Gupta’s chapter forever. He hired a contract killer, the one who was driving this truck that was stationed there for a long time. As soon as Manohar Jha got an idea how closer the Gupta’s vehicle was, he alerted the driver of the truck and they purposely crashed the truck towards Gupta’s speedily incoming car.”

I am aghast knowing this. Manohar Jha wipes the sweat off his face.

“This is a ploy against me. Arnav has surely joined hands with the opposition and they are trying to frame me in negative light.”

“Huh,” Arnav mutters. “I don’t have that much times to play politics, Manohar jha and you want proofs that you did all this, then hold on.”

He turns to the chief police commissioner who was also invited to this event tonight and who quickly brings up an unknown man who is already in custody.

“This man here, is the same killer who was driving that truck and who after the accident fled from the site.”

My eyes burn in anger. This man killed my family. Yes he did. But the mastermind was Manohar Jha.

“I don’t know him..” Manohar Jha denies to admit still.

“But you have transferred quite some amount into his account six years ago, Mr. Jha.” Arnav points out. “Mind telling us why you paid him so much? What for? When you don’t even claim to know him?”

His silence and the fear of being caught on his face, says it all. I march to him again and hold his collar in rage.

“All these years I considered you as my father’s friend, and a man whose son I was engaged to. Wish I had seen this face of yours a bit earlier. Thank your stars, Jha that I am not killing you myself but you are going to pay the price for destroying my family. And I’ll make sure you rot in the jail forever.”

Arnav’s POV

The truth is finally out. I am glad that now Khushi will not have to live with this guilt that she was responsible for her parents death. That night, it was Manohar Jha who had planned everything and today his game is out. This is the reason why I purposely invited the media, cops and some members of political parties so that they all see the real face of this man.

Manohar Jha is about to push Khushi away with force to hurt her, and as soon as I realize that I rush to stop him but before I can do anything, Khushi slaps him hard again and this time she doesn't stop with one. She keeps hitting Manohar Jha until he is finally on the ground, hurt and in pain. I stop Khushi from continuing this and pull her away whereas the cops take Manohar Jha in custody. He is not going to come out of the jail ever. His crimes are too many to count.

We end the event on that note and also thank the media for their blessings and wishes so far and also to be a part of this event where we could bring out the real face of such a famous politician. As soon as everyone leaves, and its just me, my parents and Khushi, she has many queries related to how I found these details. I tell her Dad had a few spy contacts and he had once given me those details. I used them to track about this accident and they came up with this entire truth. So far, Khushi or anyone else had no idea or even a clue that Manohar Jha could be involved into something like this so no one ever had a suspicion on him. but the night when Khushi confronted me about that accident and told me Manohar Jha had called up when they were driving, I connected the dots and rest is what happened tonight. We exposed that man.

Though Khushi is infuriated on how this accident was planned by a man she had shown some trust all this long, it's good to see her finally coming off her guilt. At least now, she would never blame herself for that tragedy.

Mom and Dad are worried for Khushi but she is so strong at this moment that she tells them not to stress about her and now that the matter is all out and the real culprit is caught, she is already feeling relieved and better.

“It’s your wedding night,” Khushi adds looking at Mom. “You should spend it with Uncle.”

Mom denies.

“This can wait, Khushi. When our kids are in stress how can me and Ayush be happy?”

“Mom,” I reach them. “Khushi is right. You and Dad should be resting now. In fact, we all should. Lets begin a fresh start to our lives from tonight. And regarding Khushi, you know I am always there for her. She will be fine.”

Mom and Dad finally get convinced and leave to their room, telling us to knock at their door anytime if we need them. Obviously, we wouldn’t be doing so. I reach Khushi once they are gone and cup her face.

“Tum theek ho?”

She gives me a weak smile at first followed by a tight hug. She is not crying, nor shivering. In fact, she is happy and out of her trauma too.

“Thank you,” she murmurs pulling away and meeting my eyes. “You have no idea what you have done for me today, Arnav. I could never have done that.”

“Just like I could never have found out Shyam Jha was the mole in the deal AR Group had with the Ghosh Industries.”

Khushi keeps looking at me as I cup her face.

“We both are doing exactly what any couples would do for each other and protect their family.”

Khushi leans her face to my palm, letting me stroke her softly.

“We will always have each other’s back. I promise.” I add.

“Not just that Arnav, now that we are officially into relationship and towards marriage at some point, I want you to know that you can’t hide anything from me.”

I know she is talking about the smoking part which I kept hidden from her.

“It wasn’t something to be told that easily, Khushi but I know.. I.. I will henceforth ensure to open up everything to you…”

“And you won’t demean me ever, even if its to fake to someone, for any damn reason,” she demands.

Now this is about the way I spoke to her all the time the Ghosh family was around and I was pretending to be on their side cheating my own company. So, I nod accepting that demand too. But seems like she has more to say..

“And you will never ever… throw coffee on me or my outfit only because you don’t want to expose much. Choosing my outfits should be exclusively my choice and you’ll never have a say in it.”

“Hold on,” I snap. “You mean you won’t have a problem if I wear just a boxers to some party and lure women’s attention on me?”

Khushi clenches her jaw.

“See..” I smirk. “This is exactly my state when I see you in sexy outfits because I know if you wear them in public, men are going to gawk at you. So unless you want me to keep punching those men who eye on you, at every party we attend, only because you want to wear the most sexiest outfit, I am okay with that.”

“Arnav you are misleading my point..” she scolds me. “Why should you be insecure if others drool me? And I have that much decency to pick outfits which doesn't expose me much. I’ll always keep that in mind when I choose my wardrobe fashion hereon.”

“Hmm..” I nod. “This sounds good and of course, spilling coffee or anything on you, will be a strictly no from my end until you desire it..” I tease.

“Why the hell will I desire it?” she groans.

“Never mind..” I clear my throat.

“I do mind.. I know exactly where your gutter mind is at the moment. Arnav, food sex is different than spilling a hot coffee on someone’s body.”

“I agree.. I agree.. I am sorry for that and it will never happen. I am already very embarrassed that I did something of that sort. But you tested my patience that night.”

“And I’ll keep testing it all the time. Learn to live with it without hurting my body.”

I look apologetically at her and bow my head down.

“I am sorry. I am genuinely sorry for all that I said, did, hid and even faked during that period. Please forgive me.”

Khushi instantly pulls my head up so that our eyes meet. She is still furious though.

“Never bow down before me,’ she commands, “Nor expect me to do so. We are equals in this relationship. If we go wrong, we will admit and apologize and correct ourselves.”

“We will,” I smile kissing her forehead. “Are you going to take all our vows tonight itself? Leave some for the wedding sweetheart.”

Khushi’s POV

I roll my eyes at Arnav’s remark and when he tries to kiss me, I push him away.

“I am going to sleep. If you want to join me, decide that now.”

Arnav gives me a mischievous smile.

“If I join you tonight on the same bed, sleep will be the last thing on your mind.. and in my list..”

I don’t understand and just when I am about to apprehend, Arnav leans closer and my heart skips a beat as he whispers in my ears.

“I had told you, Khushi. The day I put my ring on your finger, you’ll be mine in every sense.. heart, body and soul.”

My eyes lower as I recall his exact words which he had told me few weeks ago.

“I want my ring on your finger when I make love to you, Khushi Gupta. I’m not going to claim your body secretly. I want the world to know you are mine and then it won’t take me a minute to give you all that I have in me.. Just get engaged to me, and I’ll take you that very night… in every effing way I can…”

Arnav touches my waist as he slides his arm and pulls me to his body, breaks my trance. He nips my earlobe before whispering again.

“Are you willing to be mine tonight, Khushi Gupta?”

His sexy husky voice. I could give my life tonight if he asks me like that..

To be Continued.

Note: Yup. Cliffhanger again but I will post one more part of this on Monday night. With all the secrets out, the story is coming to an end. Two more parts..

Meet Tanisha Gupta from my upcoming book -"Love by Chance" releasing in July.

Sameer Khanna
I had no intention to marry till I met Tanisha Gupta. More than her gorgeous chocolate brown eyes, her petite curves and sassy attitude, her accomplishments as the current CEO of the Gupta Industries, her commitment and dedication in expanding her company allured me. Though I admired her love and sense of responsibility towards her half-sister for whom my marriage alliance was proposed, Taani, was all I had in mind, she was the only one I wanted.

Tanisha Gupta
I was looking for potential grooms for my younger sister when I met Sameer Khanna. More than his smart, charming personality and his oh so sexy French beard, Sameer’s eagerness to bring out my true self, the woman I used to be when my father was alive, drew me towards him. Much as I tried to resist him, my heart finally crossed the line it shouldn't have.

But were the sparks of attraction, compatibility, and respect that we felt for each other enough to sustain the Love that happened by chance between us?

  1. Awesome Update. I am really sad that this fiction is going to end. I love Arnav Khushi's chemistry in this story so many. Arnav collected proofs against Manohar Jha also supported Khushi emotionally. His parents also comforted her. Shyam's dad is really bad. Poor Khushi blamed herself for her parents death all these years. Liked the way Khushi smacked Manohar Jha. Arnav expose Manohar Jha. Manohar Jha killed Khushi's parents as her dad came to know about his crimes. Arnav was totally prepared. Finally fighter Khushi is back. Her attitude is just fire . The way she threatened Manohar Jha is wow. Khushi slapped and kicked Manohar Jha too. Khushi after going through so much is still thinking about Arnav's parents. That's why we love her character so much. Arnav is also very sweet and Arshi are the perfect couple. Khushi son want Arnav to throw coffee on her outfitπŸ˜‰. Arnav is very possessive and he apologized too. Khushi too didn't want to make him feel inferior. Arnav is the best romantic passionate character. I am sad that this fiction is going to end. I love Arshi's chemistry in this fiction a lot. Thanks for the Update😍😍

  2. Arnav exposed the senior Jha. So it's Manohar who killed Khushi parents. Khushi kept living with a burden of killing her parents. Khushi was not that fiesty and fiery in recent chapters. But in this chapter she is back. She is in action mode. Arshi are really the best couple who compliment and complete each other. Arnav's gesture are too sweet. I will miss this story and in future I want to see Khushi in such strong character as she was in this story. Always Arnav bacame her boss and with his brooding personality dominated her. But for the first time Khushi became Arnav 's boss.Though Khushi can't be dominated but still in all your story both Khushi and Arnav character is sketched so well . Hope in future too we get such strong character of Khushi in some other story . Arshi and their spilling coffee on each other how can one forget their weird romantic moments. But that's why Arshi is different from others right. Sad that this story is ending but enjoyed this fiction a lot. Thank you πŸ’–
