When he enters Garima’s room, he finds Khushi sitting next to her sleeping mother, holding her hand. She might be all worried and teary but she is trying to be strong. It is hard for any child to see their parents suffering. He was once in similar situation. His mother was at the hospital taking her last breathes and he could do nothing but watch her die. All this money and power couldn’t save his mother. He failed. But he won’t let Khushi face the same condition. He was alone that time, having no one to share his pain, his tears but he wont let her be alone. She has him.. He wants her to know that. He comes inside and stands next to Khushi, placing his palm gently over her shoulder blade.



“She will be fine” he murmurs.



He doesn’t know how these words come onto his lips. He has never shown any sympathy, mercy or shared others pain. He thought that trait has died in him after his mother passed away. But today, suddenly when he is giving strength to Khushi, he realizes it never had died. It was just waiting to console the right person in his life.





She presses his wrist and leans her head on it. A gentle sob is enough to weaken him again. She grips his arm tight and in a flash of second, her arms wrap around his waist and she hugs him, her cheek dug into his stomach, her tears soaking an inch of his shirt.
