Chapter 56
Avni flew for Shantivan again and Arnav was busy with some important calls briefing his team about the almost attack on Aman which happened last night. Khushi used the free time to call up Payal and ask her how the preps were going. The baby shower was in two days and she couldn’t wait to see her sister all decked up and being pampered by everyone.
“I am so happy you bagged the lead role. Will that mean I will see you less?” Payal queried.
“Probably” Khushi sighed. “But I will be there by the time of your delivery. No way I can miss that”
“How is dear Daadi? And Anjali?”
“Daadi is busy with the preps here and Anjali is assisting her. I have never seen them bonding”
“Seriously? You mean Daadi and Anjali?”
“Yes, they seem to have built a good rapport these days”
“Aww.. that’s cool. I think the credit goes to you” Khushi praised. “Before you and Akash showed your presence, Shyam and Anjali were going to leave the house. And see now, she is looking after you, bonding with Daadi. What else do we want?”
“I won’t take that credit but just like her, I so wish you and Daadi bond too Khushi. You are hardly here and now that you have your shoots schedule, I wonder you will get time for us.”
Khushi’s mood set off as she realized Payal was right. Being the eldest bride of the Royals, she had some duties to fulfil. How would it work if she keeps focusing only on her work? Suddenly she felt a pair of warm hands circling her waist. Her husband was back in the room.
He sensed her mood off and nibbled her ear. She was fire and he loved flaming her desires. She tried to push him away but he knew it was only to focus on the call with her sister. To that, he pulled her on his lap and snuggled closer. It just accelerated her heartbeats and her sound turned husky as his fingers worked on teasing her skin. If Payal was intelligent enough to know the meaning behind that tone, she would definitely end the call sooner.
“Payal.. I remembered something urgent. Will call you back”
It was Khushi who ended the call and cupped his face. She didn’t even wait for exchanging goodbyes with her sister. It was such an abrupt disconnection that Arnav wondered what Payal’s reaction to that will be on the other end.
“I was so close to letting her know what we were doing here” she snapped.
“I wanted her to know” he winked. “does she know we..?”
“No” she pressed her finger on his lips. “I am not going to broadcast it to everyone what we did last night”
“Why is that?” he frowned.
“I am afraid of people’s evil eyes on us”
“Evil eyes?” he almost chuckled.
She hit his chest softly.
“I don’t want to lose what we have between us”
He met her eyes.
“You will never lose me nor what we have between us. It’s permanent and I will make you so much exhausted in the coming days… that you will beg for some time without me around”
Khushi giggled understanding what he meant. Her fingers stroked his rough stubble.
“Or maybe vice versa” she replied coyly.
“With pleasure” he nipped the crook of her neck and then pulled away again. “Go wear something nice, we are going out for Lunch”
“Out?”
“Out and just the two of us. Aman is off to meet the production team and wouldn’t return until evening. I have sent the guards with him to ensure he is safe”
Smile lighted up her entire face as she immediately got back on her feet and rushed to dress up. Arnav picked his phone, dialed Avni to check if she had reached safely. Only after getting an affirmation from her, he focused back on brushing his hair and dressing up for the Lunch.
When Khushi comes out from the bathroom, he gapes at her. She is wearing a blue sundress with a wide neckline, thin straps over her shoulders and he could guess it was semi backless. His body instantly stiffened seeing the masterpiece before him.
“Is something wrong?” she carefully asked. “I cannot read what your expression means”
Arnav walked to her and scooped her in arms.
“When you cant read my expressions, means only one thing. I want to have you right then and there”
She wriggled to get off his hold.
“I am hungry for food”
Arnav breathed roughly to accommodate his wife’s beauty in his mind.
“We are not going out with you in that type of dress”
Khushi frowned. She didn’t see anything wrong with this dress.
“I am going out with my husband, whats wrong in this?”
“Evil eyes sweetheart” he teased. “I don’t want other men to look at you which is unavoidable if you wear this dress and walk out with me”
Khushi sighed in disappointment.
“I fantasized wearing such dresses with you when we are out for a date. But… if it makes you uncomfortable, I better change”
She was about to turn when he gripped her elbow.
“Let’s go”
She squirmed with joy.
“You sure?”
“Never been so sure”
He pulled her in his arms and led her out. A 40 minutes’ drive and they reached the restaurant – wrong. That’s a resort. A private beach resort.
“Oh my God, I didn’t know you would get me here” she slides towards him.
“We are Royals babe and we date royally” he kissed her cheek before leading her in.
They were served food inside but had a close view of the beach sprawled right next to them. The sound of gushing waves filled her ears every minute as they ate. It was the best food Khushi had in months.
“I always dreamt of walking with my man on a silent beach like this” she mumbled.
“I wouldn’t mind” he leaned back watching her excitement.
Soon tears filled her eyes and she pulled out a fresh tissue and wiped them off.
“Hey” he reached for her hand and pressed it over the table. “What’s wrong?”
“I don’t know if I am giving you everything your Royal family needs when you are fulfilling all my dreams without even me asking”
Arnav read her mind and raising her arm he kissed her fingers.
“You have given me everything Khushi and if you think you are doing any less for the family then take that off your head”
She didn’t look convinced.
“Am I selfish?”
“God!! No” he got up from his seat and sat next to her. She immediately cuddled in his arms.
“Achieving your dreams is not being selfish” he explained stroking her back. “I don’t know who feeds that in this tiny brain of yours”
She raised her chin to meet his gaze.
“Tiny brain?”
“From where I see it.. looks tiny to me” he teased.
Khushi bit his jaw earning a groan from Arnav who kissed her forehead.
“Remind me to send a thank you note to whoever manufactures these dresses. They look good on you”
It was a serious compliment and she couldn’t help but grin.
“Thank you note for them and what about me?”
Arnav clenched his jaw, his body stiffening again.
“You deserve a lot more than thank you” he turned to the server and quickly settled the bill. He led her to the lobby and asked her to wait for him while he talked to the manager.
Khushi had no idea what he was talking but she could read her husband was on the edge of his desires. He never wanted her so bad and so quick. His expressions revealed nothing but love and possession. Soon a young lady from the reception passed him something and he quickly nodded at her and the manager only to make his way back to Khushi. As their fingers entwined, she knew they weren’t going back home yet. He led her to the door which led them to the private villas lined beside the sea. Three minutes brisk walk and they were already inside a lavish Villa.
“Arnav?” she gasped when he pinned her to the door closing it shut. “We could have finished this at home”
“Who has patience to wait for 40 minutes?”
Saying that he latched his lips with her and her brain frosted.
Spending two hours in the Villa making love they head back home where Aman is more than willing to get their attention on him. He makes coffees for the three and couldn’t stop discussing how much he missed Avni already. Arnav and Khushi snuggled on the couch, listening to him and hoping silently they don’t have to bear a long-distance relationship ever. It sucked.

Avni was back as Anamika in Shantivan and Daadi was all praises for her. She couldn’t stop telling her how much she was missed and gave her list of all items needed for the baby shower. Avni quickly got in working mode.
Arnav, Khushi and Aman flew back the next morning and nonetheless everyone in the family recognized the difference in Arnav-Khushi’s conduct around each other, especially the glow on their faces. Daadi was curious enough and wanted to ask her grandson about it but since he would be embarrassed to answer, she decided to just observe the two. If they really had sorted out the differences between them and working towards one goal, who other than her would be delighted to bless them?
“Wow, that’s some great gifts” Anjali exclaimed seeing the gifts Khushi bought for Payal. “You have a great choice” she added.
“Well” Khushi sighed. “I had a friend of mine accompany me and we both shopped these together”
Khushi obviously couldn’t mention Avni or Anamika’s name yet. While Khushi packed the gifts again, Anjali watched her attentively.
“So? What’s with this glow on your face?” Anjali teased.
Khushi paused the gift packing.
“I changed my face wash” she lied holding her blush.
“I see” Anjali mocked. “I changed my face wash too after me and Shyam consummated our marriage”
Khushi’s jaw dropped. Damn!! This woman was too smart.
“What.. what are you talking about?” Khushi kept hiding the amusement in her tone.
“Dear sister-in-law, I am the first Royal bride to have that glow on my face and I know it better than you and Payal”
Khushi rolled her eyes and smiled.
“This glow looks good on you” Anjali added with another smirk on her face. “Just that I hadn’t expected you to fall for Arnav Singh Raizada that easily”
“Couldn’t help” Khushi replied biting her lip.
Anjali nodded understanding she was the first one among them to fall for a Royal and it was still worth it.
“I have something for you”
Khushi immediately opened her purse and pulled out a card. She passed it to Anjali who gave her a confused stare.
“She is Lata Dixit. One of the best Doctor working in one the best IVF center in Mumbai. I think you and Shyam should visit her once”
Anjali was startled at her suggestion.
“You think we haven’t tried this?”
“Not with her” Khushi intruded. “She has many successful clients and I am sure she will help you guys be a parent soon. I don’t know why but I have a positive feeling about this. Please visit her”
Anjali’s eyes swelled with tears.
“Out of all, I hadnt expected you to suggest me this. I thought you don’t like me much”
“I didn’t.. But I am changing my views about a lot many people here”
Anjali laughed.
“I will talk to Shyam about it” she replied.
Khushi pressed Anjali’s arm in reassurance. She knew Shyam would never deny his wife. He was way too supportive over this matter.

“Why did you call me urgently?” Arnav asked Angad after entering the drawing room of Shantivan.
“I have got some serious news regarding Akash’s abduction” Angad removed the CD from his pocket and inserted it on the laptop.
“Any lead?” Arnav anxiously asked. From so many days he and Angad were trying to find the person behind Akash’s kidnapping and seemed like finally they had a face.
“When we investigated the place where Akash was kept during his kidnapping, we found a camera outside. Probably the kidnapper had installed it to monitor any suspicious entry. Now see this”
Angad played the CD. Arnav could see no one and the screen was dark to spot the face easily.
“I synced the clock of this Camera with the actual time which means this is exactly when you and me along with our men were firing gunshots inside to save Akash”
Arnav nodded.
“And then.. here he comes”
There was a quick flash of a man running out, escaping the scene.
“Who the hell was he?”
“You will know”
Angad paused the video and zoomed it to see a glimpse of that man. His face wasn’t clear but enough to recognize him.
“No way” Arnav gritted. “Shyam?”
Angad sighed.
“Shyam abducted his own brother? Why?” Arnav shouted. He wanted to break Shyam Singh Raizada’s jaw by punching him hard.
Angad nodded in denial.
“You know what’s more shocking than this Arnav?” he asked. “That same time Shyam Singh Raizada was giving a speech in one of his political meets. I have confirmed that from 10 different sources and there are hundreds of people who could prove Shyam Singh Raizada was with them in the meeting”
Arnav froze. What the hell was that supposed to mean? How could Shyam be at two different places at the same time?
“Whoever he is… he is not our Shyam.. He is a lookalike and I wonder how that’s possible?” Angad added.
Arnav swallowed reluctantly. Though his mind kept poking his heart that Shyam would never hurt his own brother, he still couldn’t relate from where did Shyam’s lookalike come from?

Wow. The twist is so interesting. Who could it be? Shyam seems to love his brother. He wouldn’t have hurt him. But who knows. Anything can happen. Is he a twin or something? Or is that person (the one who trying to harm Raizadas) has done a plastic surgery so they cannot find him? Because if he is look alike to Shyam it’s easy for him to hide. ReplyDeleteAwesome Update. I thought Shyam was behind this but now his look alike. What a twist in the story. Khushi and Payal's conversation was nice. Loved the bond between the sisters. Anjali and Daadi also coming close. Aman abduction mystery is getting interesting. Payal is a wonderful daughter in law and Anjali's change is nice. Khushi is an independent woman who can balance between her royal duties and her career. Arnav lifted Khushi's mood and his romantic image is too good. Arnav is really getting naughty. Khushi is really serious about the relationship. I liked Arnav's confession and his possessive nature. Khushi's fantasy for her date was cute. Khushi should never underestimate Arnav. Khushi guilt came in between but Arnav nicely managed Khushi. Khushi is very soft hearted. Aman and Avni is also nice. Avni is fulfilling her responsibility quite nicely. Daadi and Anjali understood Arshi's equation. Khushi cares for everyone. Hope Anjali become a mother soon. It's sad that she is deprived from this blessing. I thought it was Shyam but now this look alike twist is good. Hope Arnav solve the mystery soon. Thanks for the Update. So many suspicious characters are there. It can be anyone who abducted Akash. ReplyDeleteI am happy its not Shyam. Although, I am not particularly fond of Shyam, but for Anjali's sake and for brothers sake, it shouldn't be Shyam. Though he is a bit selfish and money minded, but didn't have doudt of his love for his iwn brother.
