Chapter 32B


Khushi’s POV


The moment Arnav reaches Sheesh Mahal and sees me in the kitchen, he marches towards me and takes me in his embrace. My heart skips a beat recalling what Sheetal said. He is under a spell. It’s so hard to judge if whatever Arnav is doing right now is on his own or because of that spell.

“I was worried for you, dammit..” he mutters nibbling the crook of my neck.

“Arnav..” I hiss in pain and he quickly pulls away.

“Did it hurt?”

I rub the spot where he nibbled me knowing well that it’s going to leave a hickey there.

“Hmm” I nod.

“Sorry, I don’t mind if you give me one.”

Now he winks and I know that innocence he has on his face is his own.. I quickly ignore the bite and give him kiss on his cheek.

“Are you feeling okay?” I ask and he looks a bit confused.

“What happened to me? Of course I am okay.”


I realize he would never know if anything is wrong with him but it’s my responsibility to still get his feelings out if he has been feeling even a bit different than normal. That could help us fix his problems.


“Well, apart from the body pain I get these days, all is well,” he adds.

“Body pain?” I snap. “What .. what kind of pain?”

“I don’t know.. it feels heavy.. as if I am carrying one more personality inside me. It’s odd right? Maybe I should cut down my diet.”


Carrying one more personality inside him? Does he mean the blue-eyed version of his? I.. I don’t know.. It’s hard to find it out if I’m even connecting the right dots.


“hey..” Arnav cups my face. “Don’t bother. I know why this is happening. And I don’t mind if it never fixes..”

“Why is it happening?” I repeat his words.

“Because you are making me work a lot on your body every night..” he whispers in my ears then bites my ear’s outer shell.

“Arnav…” I gasp, pushing him away and hold my grin. “Go get changed. I’ll bring you coffee.”

“Thanks. I really need one. In fact, I am very hungry too.”

“Will serve dinner soon then..”

“No, bring it to the room. Will have it there..”

“As you wish,” I agree.

“That’s like my wife.” He kisses me on the forehead and walks away.


Fifteen minutes later when I enter my room, Arnav is already working on his laptop.

“More work?” I ask as he grabs his coffee mug and continues working.

“Yup. Have a conference tomorrow to attend. Making a presentation for the same.”

“Tomorrow?” I snap, louder and he looks back at me.

“Yea.. tomorrow. Why?”


I swallow nervously. He can’t go to Delhi again tomorrow. I have to keep an eye on him to ensure he doesn't lose blood.

“Can’t it be skipped for one day?”

“Nope. The clients are already aware of this meeting. Everything is set. But why do you ask?”


I am speechless for a moment but I quickly make some excuse. Putting the laptop aside, I sit on his lap, sliding my arms around his neck. Arnav swallows gazing at my face.

“I wanted to spend the entire day tomorrow with you.. and you alone.”


His adam’s apple bobs at my idea and then he grins.

“However tempting it sounds, can we push it for day after tomorrow, please? I really have to attend this meet-”

I shut his mouth with my finger.

“Give me one day tomorrow”


He looks quizzically at my face and then moves my finger away from his lips.

“I’ll give you one entire week without work Khushi. But not tomorrow.”


Hey Devi Maiyaa! All I could do so far to convince him, I tried but what next? He kisses my arm neck and then tries to get me off his lap but I try being heavy and don’t get down.


“I need tomorrow. Not your entire week. You can’t do this much for your wife?”

“Khushi I told you that’s not possible. Why are you being so dominant? It’s hardly a matter of one day.”

“It’s matter of tomorrow. I need you tomorrow not any other day..”


He exhales audibly, rubbing his face with his palms.

“Okay, what are your plans for tomorrow then? Have you even made it?”


Plans? How could I make those when the entire excuse I framed just now.

“See.. you don’t even have a concrete plan. I suggest, you make one tomorrow and then we can fulfil it day after tomorrow.”

“Arnav stop it. I don’t need a day to make plans. I can frame it tonight and we are spending the day tomorrow together. That’s it.”


I get down from his lap and hand him the laptop again.

“Drop emails to your team and tell them to push the meeting for day after tomorrow. You are busy with me tomorrow. Understood?”


He stares at me blankly, blinking hard, trying to understand me.

“I get it..” He mutters.

“Get what?”

“You have got mood swings. Is it that period of the month already?”


My jaw drops at his question and I look away feeling utterly uncomfortable. Arnav puts his laptop away and gets up. And only when I think he is going to tease me a bit more, Arnav pulls my chin up with his fingers so that our eyes meet.


“I’ll fulfil all your demands for tomorrow except this one. I can bring the world at your feet but not cancel the conference, Khushi. It’s really very important deal for our business. A lot many people are involved. I have to go. Please understand.”


There is sincerity in his voice and I realize there is no point forcing him beyond this.

“Okay, but I have one condition then..”

“Condition?” he frowns.

“I am coming along with you to Delhi.”

“What?”

Once again Arnav is surprised by my demand.

“Yes, Arnav. That way both of us can also spend time together like I wanted and you can also attend the conference. I swear, I will do nothing to disturb your meeting. But please take me along.”


He thinks for a minute and then agrees.

“Okay, that’s the coolest solution to our problem. Let me show you our Delhi office too then.”

“Yehhh”


I literally jump on his body and thankfully Arnav catches me before we both fall. He pulls me closer and kisses me like a savage before getting back to work on his laptop. Now all I have to do is make sure Arnav is safe from any kind of accident tomorrow and he loses no blood.
