Chapter 51
Anjali’s POV
Maa is angry. Of course she is, because I failed in doing the task she assigned me today.
“How could you defy my orders?” she shouts at me over the phone. “Controlling Arnav’s mind is very important because the eclipse is nearing. Why didn’t you feed him the spiked parathas?”
“Because Shyam insisted on having it too. I couldn’t risk his life,” I shout back. “You know if he had eaten those, it would have any adverse reactions on his body. I couldn’t let that happen.”
“So what Anju?” Maa yells again. “We have to offer sacrifices to achieve our real goals.
“Not Shyam, Maa” I scowl. “He is my husband.”
“Husband? What about my husband whom the Raizadas killed? Your father, Anju.. Couldn’t you sacrifice for him? For avenging his death?”
I don’t say a word. Yes, I want to avenge but not Shyam.. never Shyam. Maa reads my silence and exhales angrily.
“I have a bad feeling that Arnav is already aware something is wrong with him and you are involved in it too.”
I stiffen. Is that possible? Did I make it that obvious for Arnav to understand I am not on his side?
“Maa.. do something.. I can’t let him tell this to Shyam and spoil my relationship with him. Please do something.”
“Relax,” she mutters. “Stay low for now. I’ll handle this myself.”
“What do you mean?” I ask. “How will you handle this alone without me? And even Mohan is not with you and is hiding somewhere.”
“he will be with me on the Lunar eclipse day but if you come here, and if that Arnav or his family follows you, then all our plans will go in vain. So you are not going to come and meet me until I tell you. Am I clear?”
“Yes,” I agree. “I’ll stay here and watch them die… one by one…” I grin looking at the family portrait of the Raizadas. “Can’t wait for the eclipse now.. and Arnav to become the sole reason of his family’s extinction from this world.”
*******************
Khushi’s POV
The lunar eclipse is tomorrow. I have seen Arnav’s worry as none of us finds any signs of Chandrika so far. Anjali’s phone is tapped and we have also heard her speaking to Chandrika about not coming to meet her as it might be a trap from us to reach Chandrika and end this game she has been playing with us from so many years. The way Anjali spoke to her mother Chandrika stating specifically how she cannot wait to see each of the Raizada family members die slowly and Arnav being the reason for their extinction has raged us all enough against her. Though her phone call with Chandrika was tapped, the call was too short to get the exact location of Chandrika. Now all we have is her number which was taken on Mohan’s ID. The bad part was that Mohan had given the address proof of Sheesh Mahal where he worked from past few years to get that sim card which means we still have no other addresses where we can trace for them. Every attempt towards finding their whereabouts is coming to a dead end.
I stare at Arnav pacing furiously in the room where Akash, NK and even Shyam has joined us to discuss on this matter. Daadi and Manorama Chachi are keeping an eye on Anjali in another room and they will signal us if Anjali gets any hint that we all have assimilated here to discuss something.
“Tomorrow is the lunar eclipse, if we don’t find Chandrika, it is going to difficult to even analyze what way she will use to make sure Arnav is back in her control,” Shyam says.
I stare at Arnav who clenches his jaw.
“What did Sheetal say?” NK asks me.
“She is preparing for a Maha puja with Payal and her father Gopalji. They will be doing this during the same time in temple as the lunar eclipse begins, to ensure that we get enough blessings of Devi Maiya to stop the spell from working,” I answer.
“But we need a backup,” Akash mutters. “We all trust in Devi Maiyaa’s blessings but even then we can’t sit here and wait for Chandrika to control bhai.”
“He is right, we need some info where Chandrika is hiding.” NK adds.
“Though the police is still tracking that number and we have escalated this issue, they might take time. What if they can’t find the exact location before the eclipse starts?” Shyam raises his doubts.
“This is… f*cking unbelievable..” Arnav groans..
“Language” I chide. He gives me a glare.
“You think I care at this moment about my language Khushi?”
“That still doesn't mean you can use such words openly..”
Arnav rolls his eyes.
“You know what? If you can’t hear it, then leave us all alone to continue the further talks.”
My jaw hangs down. How can he say this? I am a part of this discussion because it concerns my husband and he himself is asking me to leave? Fine!! I will do that. I am hurt so I make my way to the door. But just when I am about to hold the doorknob, Arnav pulls me back onto his chest.
“Hey.”
“Don’t… leave me…” I wriggle in his hold.
“I am sorry…” he mouths.. “I shouldn’t have said that.”
I stop and look at his face.
“I am scared Khushi.. All this is scaring me. What if I really hurt someone of you tomorrow? I can’t let that happen…”
“I know..” I cup his face. “I know you don’t want any of this to happen and we will all come up with a solution to this. Don’t worry. Just never ask me to stop being a part of your problems. I am your wife, Arnav and I need to know everything that you know so that I can save you..”
He nods and kisses my forehead. I wrap my arms tight around him and give him a hug. We stay like that for no idea how long when someone clears his throat.
“Umm.. we… we have an idea.”
It’s NK.. I quickly pull away from Arnav’s body feeling flustered that we displayed our affection publicly.
“What idea?” Arnav questions and a grin appears on everyone’s face.
“An idea which will give us the whereabouts of Chandrika..” Akash adds.
Me and Arnav glance at each other before turning back to the other three men. Looks like they really have something up their sleeves this time.
********************
Anjali’s POV
I hate to be a part of this but only because Daadi and Manorama Chachi wants me to help them make this garland of flowers for the Puja tomorrow, I do it. I don’t understand which Puja they have planned tomorrow on the lunar eclipse but it feels like they are doing this to ensure nothing wrong happens with the family. Fools!! I curb my smile and continue making garlands. That’s when we all hear a loud scream.
“Stop… please… stop..”
That’s Shyam’s voice. I quickly push away the flowers and run outside to see what happened. I am shocked to see Arnav hitting Shyam who is already bleeding.. His head has a cut and its massively bleeding.
“Shyam?” I shout running towards them. “What is all this.. what is happening here?” I angrily ask Arnav who pushes me away from my husband.
“Di you don’t get into this.. Shyam has cheated us all.” Arnav replies punching Shyam on his stomach.
Daadi, Chacha, Chachi all come out seeing the commotion.
“Arnav, what are you doing?” Daadi screams.
Akash comes in between me and Shyam this time when I try to save him.
“Di… daadi.. you don’t have to save him. He deserves this punishment. You have no idea what he did.”
“What did he do?” I yell back. “He is my husband..”
“He might be your husband Di but he has tried to kill Khushi…”
I come to a halt as I hear it..
“What?” I mutter. That’s not true. Shyam didn’t do anything, I did but how could they come up with this theory?
“Yes Di,” NK comes ahead. “Khushi Bhabhi is dead.. And Shyam is responsible for it.”
“How can you say so? My husband is innocent. You are misunderstanding him.”
“No we are not,” Arnav yells and punches Shyam harder. My husband groans and falls down on the floor.
“Shyam..” I try to get back to him, crying but Akash holds me.
“Di don’t.. he is a killer..”
“I didn’t kill her…” Shyam murmurs weakly.
“You didn’t?” Arnav pulls him back on his feet from teh ground. “Then what is that key doing with you in your closet?”
Key? I am confused. Oh God, is he talking about the fake key which is still in my locker, the one I couldn’t open the door to the secret room where the spell had been casted by my mother?
“I don’t know about that key…” Shyam mentions.
“Don’t lie…” NK shouts. “It was your room and we found that key in your closet. Of course we trust di not to do this, which means you are the one.”
Arnav makes Shyam sit on the chair and then he, and Akash tie him up. I am crying in confusion. What is happening here? How could they get to Shyam? How do they even know about the key and why are they suspecting Shyam to be involved in Khushi’s death?
“What key?” I snap lunging forward to them.
“Di.. let us explain you. The spell has been casted here in Sheesh Mahal by Chandrika and in a secret room whose key Khushi had got hands on.. But then that night when Khushi went missing, the key went missing too. We all suspected that the person who has the key is obviously the one who might have hurt Khushi to get the key and guess where we found it? In your closet Di.. In the locker… You are a Raizada, Di and we trust you. It means Shyam is the one who has been involved with Chandrika right from the first day..” Akash tells me.
“Or maybe he married di to keep an eye on us.. and give Chandrika all the updates,” NK continues.
No! They are all thinking that Shyam hid the key which is not true. I can’t see my husband so much hurt and in pain.
“I .. I didn’t do it..” Shyam almost cries in pain.. “Rani Saheba.. please… please help me..”
I nod and immediately try to get to him but Daadi holds my hand.
“No Anjali. He can be dangerous. If he has been involved with Chandrika, he can do anything to you or others and hurt us all. We have to be cautious.”
Damn! I don’t want to go anything against the Raizada family now and make them suspicious that its me against them from the start, not my husband Shyam. My mother has asked me to stay low.
“Rani Saheba…” Shyam tries to look at me with blood all over his face… “Please Rani Saheba… save me..”
I am losing my patience… my control is slipping. If they torture him more, I will kill them all myself.
“Enough,” Arnav holds Shyam’s jaw. “Stop calling for help, Shyam. My Di is on our side. She loves you, yeah. But she will never betray us.. You killed my wife.. and now I will kill you..”
He removes a gun from his pocket and aims it at Shyam’s head.
“Arnav…” I scream, about to run to them but Akash and NK hold me.
“Di don’t … Let Arnav do this…”
“No…” I scream..
Arnav almost unlocks the gun and points it on Shyam’s head again.
“Tell me where Chandrika is and I will not put this bullet in your head.” Arnav threatens.
“I don’t… I don’t know..” Shyam replies in a weak voice.
Arnav punches on his stomach again and Shyam cries..
“Arnav please don’t..” I yell.
“Tell me before I pull the trigger..” Arnav’s warning is too threatening.
“I don’t know.. trust me…” Shyam answers.
“fine then… be ready to die now..”
He is about to pull the trigger when I scream.
“Kali Bawdi… Maa is at Kali Bawdi…”
There is a screaming silence around us as I utter this.. Wait!! I .. I just gave them the truth? I just didn’t tell where Chandrika is … I also told them she is my mother? But why are they not shocked?
Arnav puts the gun down and NK hurries away stating he will inform the commissioner about this location. What is happening? Looks like they were just waiting to get her details from me. Like Maa had suspected, did they all know already that I was involved with Maa in all this plan?
When I move my gaze to Shyam, he is already untying his hands and wiping the blood from his face. Wait. That’s not blood.. That’s some colored paste on his skin…Means.. this was a set up? A plan which Arnav, Akash, NK played to get the details out and they involved Shyam too..
“Thank you, Di…” Arnav clenches his jaw throwing the gun down. I realize the gun itself is fake.. Shyam nods in disappointment as he looks at me.
“Why Anjali?” Shyam questions.. “Why the hell did you plot all of this? And since when? Because as far as I believe, you joined hands with your mother from your childhood. Probably she had brainwashed your mind from the beginning so that you never connect with the Raizadas ever.. Am I right?”
I stand there speechless, confused and give a glance to each of the Raizada member who are staring at me with hatred. And that’s when I see her… Khushi… What the hell? She is alive?? And here in Sheesh Mahal?
Khushi walks straight down to the living room where this entire drama just unfolded and then stands with Arnav, giving me a challenging look.
“Wish I could see your real face before handing you the real key to that secret door that night when you pushed me in the well.” she mutters.
“Real key?” I snap. “You gave me a fake one..”
“No I didn’t..” she smiles. “The one I gave you was real and fortunately Shyam saw you pushing me inside the well. he saved me that night and he is the one who removed the key from your safe locker and replaced it with the fake one. We already have access to the room Chandrika has used to cast the spell Anjali.. Now all we need is Chandrika to tell us how to end it..”
I stare at them with rage. They really played this well. But what they still aren’t aware of is that, my mother’s spell can only be broken by her blood… or the Raizada’s blood at the same place where it was casted… Not otherwise… not on any day… not on any night.. but on lunar eclipse which falls tomorrow and until they know this truth, it will already be too late.
To be Continued.
Note: Thank you so much for waiting patiently for this update. I maybe updating late or irregular, but all I need is your little cooperation.
Waiting and patience is a virtue which u r testing high time now. we readers have Co-orporated with u so much and now u r taking us only for granted. Time is vicious if it brings u up it can bring u down also. Anyways all the best for ur future I am quitting ur blog
ReplyDeleteMy god. I can't believe one of my readers is saying this. If you think you are wasting time and can't wait for my free blog updates then you are surely free to quit the blog anytime. Why are you almost cursing me that if i am succeeding in my author life, then it will also bring me down? For what? Do you even know the hardships of my life? Without parents being alive, without having a life partner, how do I manage to still keep myself motivated to write and bring new stories free + commercial books on platforms like Amazon? We all face difficulty in adjusting time and utilising it for doing things we love to do. My blog is one of them. So many of my own readers here keep telling me to shut the blog but I never pay any heed to that because I love being a part of this virtual world with you all and Arshi. I am not against negative criticism on my stories but please it's a request to everyone don't curse people unnecessarily only because they couldn't post updates daily or weekly or whatever schedule you wanted them to do. And now it's my sincere urge. Stop coming to my blog or reading any of my works. Kindly leave this space. All the best for your future and may you never find people like me in your lives who waste your precious time. Truly apologize for doing that all this long.
DeletePls stay strong Madhu. Focus on your passion and positivity. You will be fine.
DeleteOmg, are you for real? What kind of person curses someone just because they could not give regular updates? You should grow up, and not take this for granted that Madhu is keeping us entertained from long time! And now when she needs some cooperation from us, you are spewing non-sense. How ungratified you can be?
DeletePlease do so as you aren't doing anything except spreading negativity! Grow up whoever you are - Mr/Ms. Anonymous!
DeleteYou should just quit coming to this blog instead of cursing the author if you cannot wait patiently for updates. Do you think writing a single chapter is piece of cake? Do you even know how much time it takes... If not hours sometimes it takes days to come with single chapter even if writers had already thought of the whole plot.
DeleteWhy do you think there are huge gaps between the author publishing his/her books? They take months to write that 300/400/500 pg story before submitting for publishing.
You have some nerve to curse the writer for having professional life instead of thankful she is giving us something free to read and not giving up on her Arshi ff readers. You should be ashamed of yourself for expecting her to put her professional and personal life before your own wants. It is not like you are paying her for reading her stories here.
And lastly like everyone here said please grow up.
I guess this person is the same who spit venom earlier. They will never leave the site and better ignore and if possible delete the comments . I guess they want to see the reactions of the people for their own fun, pretty sure they have no life.

Awesome Update. Anjali is too much. Chandrika brainwashed her completely and Chandrika knows only revenge. Anjali is very much ungrateful. Arshi did a great job by tapping Anjali's phone and now they know about her betrayal. Khushi is still the ardent devotee of Devi Maiyaa and scold Arnav regarding the language. Arshi are really very cute couple.. Khushi got hurt and the way Arnav ask for forgiveness is amazing and Arnav is also scared that he may hurt someone. Arshi are each other's strength. Their hug was so cute. Arnav and Shyam's act was great and Anjali gave Chandrika's location. Anjali now knows that Khushi is alive. The spell can be broken by Raizada blood at the place it's casted on Lunar eclipse which Anjali hide. It's getting interesting.Anjali should not be forgiven at any cost by the Raizada family for helping Chandrika. Thanks for the Update and will always wait for you😘
ReplyDeleteAmazing update. Thank you appreciate it
ReplyDeleteWow amazing what a performance by Arnav and shyam
ReplyDeleteAwesome madhu, anjali is weak and easily manipulated ....pls don't stop this blog because of unnecessary people n their talks ..ur life is in ur control , update stories when u are free ...as a travel blog writer myself I write articles when I get time from normal schedule so I Definitely understand u too... ur keeping arshi alive in ur stories even after the show stopped many years ago ...
ReplyDeleteWow! The cat is out of the box! Loved every bit of this part again. Thanks for the update!
ReplyDeleteMadhu, As I said before, please ignore these anonymous/brainless people. They have nothing else to do except complaint. If they can’t wait and understand the writer, then they better quit reading your stories. They aren’t worthy of your time!
Don't worry about these negative people. Many wants everything free that too without waiting. You will be blessed by God with all good things in your life. Stay positive. All the best for your amazing future
ReplyDeletePlease not any any raizada blood, like arnav hurting his ownself to safeguard his family. Chandrika's blood broke the cast.
ReplyDeleteRaizada heard anjali's conversation with her maa. I really wish Raizada or Shyam never forgive anjali. So much venom. Now raizada brother got to know chandrika's place. Waiting eagerly to know what going to happened next.
Arshi support for each other and family support no words. They should come out from this prb without any more difficulties.
Waiting for the next update dear..
Nice update.. can't wait for next part, please update the next part of this only. I guess Anjali's blood will end the spell.
ReplyDeleteAlso ignore negative comments, stay positive and focus on your writing.
I can relate Chandrikas story but in the beginning it was about Arnav and Khushis past life. And as the story progressed it was about Chandrika and not about Arshi anymore. Are we going to get an insight about their past lives? About blue eyed version Arnav? I’m not upset but I feel that story has changed from the initial plot. But still it’s good. Nice work n thank you for updating amidst your busy life!
ReplyDeleteDis_arshi
I think you got confused. The story was never about Arnav and Khushi's past life.
DeleteI thought it was. When the story started it was like that. And it's about bride of Sheeshmahal and I haven't seen anything related to Khushi yet
DeletePlan was good no doubt but main truth is hidden which can remove curse from arnav life.hope khushi clue.

ReplyDeleteAs for the negative thoughts: People who like to talk will talk as one great lyricist rightly said Kuch tho log kahenge logon ka kaam hain kehna. Hats off to your strength and creativity that flows in every story. I am proud that I am a fan of your FF since you are stronger inspite of the negative criticism that people throw your way and set us all an example to prevail among the dark thoughts people have. God bless you with everything you will want in your life even though he has taken so much from you.
Stay positive. Do update when you have time
ReplyDeleteVery interesting update.... will wait for your update. No problem
ReplyDeleteI don't know why people can't wait for updates writers update once in a weekly mostly or twice in a month no writer give regular updates. And you have given us soooo much updates and when you have also your personal life why people expect you to update regularly that's unfair with you. Di don't give ears to these comments and post updates whenever you are available we can wait.
ReplyDeleteHow can some one be so rude for lashing out like this. every one has their life others commitment the life apart from writing still you manage to give us update on regular basis. If someone can be little understanding then better let them leave the blog. Madhu we all are supporting you. carry on gal.
ReplyDeletecoming to you update it was as always thrilling and fantastic what a trap but now the curiosity is on peak high till the next update.

Hi Madhu, this is not about the story at all but an appreciation comment. It's been more than a decade you are still continuing this passion of ArShi land, for which I'm grateful! Pls don't take the first comment to heart! A senseless person said something senselessly! Pls continue to do what you love at the pace you can. Haters can go buy oil! Sending you loads of health, happiness and love! ❤️
ReplyDeleteAs a reader been part of your journey for a long time now... can't recall any other ArShi ff writer being this consistent..... don't know how can anyone curse a person..... I really wish for behavioural growth of every such person.... it's scary how some people can spit venom so casually.... you don't like waiting... leave and move on....we are celebrating 75 years of Independence but some of ours SOCH is still stuck in a narrow zone... Madhu has every right to delay updating her ffs...all of them belong exclusively to her....we are not doing any favour reading her stories... instead she's doing a huge favour by filling the void of Arnav Khushi in our minds and hearts...a creative house like madhu will always achieve every milestone she desires for..... Madhu you go girl rise and shine HUMESHA...❤️❤️ Just remember all those well wishers of yours whenever you come across such unpleasant SOCH. Thank you for the update and all the best for the upcoming ffs, can't wait to explore more with you😘
ReplyDeleteAwesome as always. Don't give ears to negative people who only know to discourage you.I can wait for eternity for your update. Update the story when u r comfortable Madhu dear. Good luck. Few curses can do nothing in front of so many blessings. God bless you my dear.
ReplyDeleteY would u delete the comment that u have given a update in 10 days. Ur readers deserves to know this. Urge to the readers to ask her to not to start a new story before ending the previous ones. So that we can quit the blog peacefully
ReplyDeleteDear Madhu. I have been reading your stories for eight years. Read again and again. We know you have another life besides writing stories.
