Precap for Locked Part 7

Khushi’s POV

I wake up early this morning and the first thing I remember is that Arnav Singh Raizada already had a girlfriend. He was the man I considered dreaming about most of the nights ever since I first saw him and he is committed to someone else. Damn!! I hide my face in the pillow. Life sucks. Maybe Dad was right. I should let him look for grooms. Till when I will not think of marriage? He wants to get both me and Payal married together, same Mandap and I have started liking that idea.

I am still thinking of Dad and how soon I can see him again when my phone rings. It’s him.

“Hey Dad.. You will live for 100 years. I was just thinking about you.”

“Really?” he laughs. “What were you thinking?”

I cuddle the pillow.

“You remember asking me if I am ready to get married?”

“Yes, I remember that day. You had pounced on me and denied tying a knot anytime soon.”

“I have changed my plans” I pout. “You can start looking for a suitable groom to me.”

There is a complete silence for a few seconds. I hope I am doing right.

“Are you sure Khushi?” he clarifies and I exhale. “Very. I don’t think anyone else can find a better groom for me, than you.”

Note: Will post the full update tomorrow.

I wanted none of my paths to cross his and still here I am, at his Office, as his PR Manager. If there is anyone in this world whom I have so strongly ignored, it’s HIM.

A tangled web of Love, Passion and Responsibility.

NEW EXCERPT 7

I don’t let her explain and shift my eyes to Vipul who gets up as fast as he can, probably recognizing me.

“I am Aryan Bohra, Avni’s..-” I pause there on purpose, turning to meet Avni’s eyes again. She watches me with an unreadable look. “Boss” I complete that statement cursing my heart which still hopes things could change between me and her.

“Of course, Mr. Bohra. I know you” Vipul smiles. “I mean, Avni told me how much she loves working in your Company and .. I am so honored to meet you here”

We quickly shake hands. I can’t believe I am doing this. Getting introduced to a man who was Avni’s husband once and God knows what role he would play in her future. If only, I could grab his collar right now and ask him to stay away from my woman. Yes, my woman. I still think Avni is mine doesn’t matter whom she agrees to spend her future with.

“Well, I don’t want to ruin your perfect Lunch date. So please carry on” I turn to leave. I don’t look at Avni again as I am afraid, I will drag her along with me.
